Dean Codrington has a thriving passion for film and TV, which saw him travel halfway around the world to attend the prestigious New York Film Academy in 2000.
Dean used this incredible experience to develop his talent, before landing a directing job for 9mm, the Nine Network’s exclusive production company. He worked as a TVC director in Sydney for 5 years, before relocating to Melbourne to oversee the creative as the Senior Director.
Dean has a keen eye for talent and places the utmost importance on the idea or story and encourages collaboration in order to create compelling work.
In 2006 Dean decided to take a risk and form his own production company, which is when Bravada Films was born.
Bravada has since grown into a busy production company that embraces all production formats and is just as comfortable with the freedom of independent filmmaking to that of a traditional TV commercial or online campaign.
After the success of his short film ‘A4 to A3’, Dean is currently in post-production on his feature documentary ‘Troopertrek’, based on Jacob French and his amazing trek across Australia in Stormtrooper armour, that raised $100,000 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
